Cardinal QuickCare bringing convenience to Muncie

Common illnesses and minor health problems are never convenient. Delaware County residents now have an option that makes treatment of these medical issues less of a hassle.

Cardinal QuickCare, located inside the Muncie Mall, opened to patients on July 30. The clinic is open seven days a week to treat minor health problems quickly and affordably in patients two years and older. Medicare and other insurance plans will also be accepted.

“There are no other healthcare facilities in the immediate vicinity,” said Jan Vangets, chief operating officer, CHS Physician Network Services. “Our clinic is the first facility of its type in Delaware County and provides an inexpensive alternative for minor problems, as most patients can receive a quick and efficient visit for around $49.”

No appointment is necessary, and most walk-in visits take about 15 minutes. Cardinal QuickCare is intended for improved convenience for minor problems like sore throats, poison ivy, ear infections, coughs and colds when a visit to the doctor’s office is not convenient.

The clinic includes two exam rooms, a lab, waiting area and office space in about 1,000 square feet and is managed by Bobbie Sims-Wells, a certified family nurse practitioner, in collaboration with CHP family practice physicians.

Cardinal QuickCare is accessible through the northeast entrance to the mall near Sears. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. A member of the staff can be reached by calling (765) 751-6330.

“This represents a great opportunity for CHP,” Vangets said. “The convenient mall location will make it very easy for people to have these minor illnesses taken care of quickly – right where they shop! The clinic will also provide another entry point for CHS services to future patients.”
