Muncie Office Solutions presented the Youth Symphony Orchestras of East Central Indiana and the South Asian Muncie Association Youth as they hosted the “Kids Helping Kids” dinner and symphony to benefit the Pediatric Rehabilitation Fund at The BMH Foundation on March 25 at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.

Over two hundred people enjoyed an Indian dinner and musical selections by the Youth Symphony Orchestras and the trazoM Trio. A special world premiere of Miyan Ki Todi (based on an Indian arrangement) was written for the trazoM Trio by Jody Nagel. The audience also experienced a traditional Bollywood dance performed by Anish Karlapudi.

Ajanta Goswami, MD and Beena Joseph, MD, organized the event on behalf of the South Asian Muncie Association.

“Initially, we wanted to put together some type of event to support the BMH Pediatric Rehabilitation program,” said Goswami, MD. “At the same time, the Youth Symphony was planning their second annual concert for the same cause. The BMH Foundation helped us combine the two events, and it proved to be a unique cultural experience.”

“The wonderful part of the event was the fact that some very talented youth came together to help some very special kids obtain services at the BMH Pediatric Rehabilitation Department,” said John Everhart, Director of Operations, Pediatric Rehabilitation.

“The Foundation is grateful for all the hard work and effort that went into making this event a success,” said Kelly Stanley, President, BMH Foundation. “The funds raised and the opportunity to discuss all the good things that are being done in the BMH Pediatric Rehabilitation department on a daily basis will certainly have a positive impact on that program.”
